Love this result. The drawn snail and the shell are tied together completely by the pencil - such a POWERFUL effect! The depth of field makes this subtle and the perspective of the composition leads us into the image both visually and intellectually. I also like the split-toned color. A minor crit would be getting the shadows a bit soft, since although it works for the snail, sure doesn't work for the pencil !!
